Bidari

Location: Australian Capital Territory

I am an immigrant woman to Australia, and my artistic journey began in my teenage years with oil painting. After completing a Master’s degree in Plant Physiology, I moved to Australia, where I spent a decade working in public service and raising my children. During that time, I was away from art and creativity, but my passion for nature kept me engaged—I built a vast collection of Australian landscape photographs, always envisioning how they could be transformed into paintings.
This deep connection to nature and my artistic calling led me back to painting. As I rekindled my creativity, I pursued formal training, earning a Diploma of Visual Arts in 2020. Since then, I have been a full-time artist, working with various mediums, including oil, acrylic, alcohol ink, and watercolour. In addition to painting, I craft unique polymer clay and resin jewellery, drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours and organic forms found in nature and florals.
Through my art, I strive to capture the beauty and energy of the natural world, blending bold colours and intricate details to create expressive, nature-inspired pieces.
