Suma Najnin

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

I am an artisan from Bangladesh and a proud owner of a small craft house. My passion lies in creating handmade products such as crochet bags, leather-crochet bags, shetal pati bags, denim bags, amigurumi (crochet dolls), table runners, mats, bookmarks, and more, all of which are environmental-friendly.

I started my business in 2020 and currently employ twenty skilled women who work with me, and I have personally trained them. I hold a post-graduation degree from Dhaka University, where I studied Social Work. I have always had a strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of disadvantaged women who face economic and social discrimination. Through my craft house, I aim to support these women by providing them with economic opportunities that empower them in their families and society. Additionally, my business is a representation of my country's rich tradition and the skills of its women.

I put my heart and soul into my craft house, working tirelessly with my team of skilled workers. I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family, especially my husband, in fulfilling my dream of making my craft house one of the best in terms of design and quality. Being a part of "CRAFTING MY STORY" is a dream come true for me, as it provides a platform for me to showcase my work to a wider audience. I am confident that my craft house will continue to be a proud contributor to "Crafting My Story."

I wish “Crafting My Story” team a very good future.
